Gratitude and a stranger cross the road....

Gratitude and a stranger cross the road....

Weeks of late have presented patterns i.e. sooky on Tuesday and ticked off by Thursday. Wednesday this week - switching it up a little. Morning iced-coffee (decafe of course) from Black Duck in Richmond followed by deliveries and a full day of juggling 9-5 and SELFISH&Co.

This morning felt somewhat of an exception. Like always, I'm greeted with smiles, a "good morning don't you look glowing" all whilst making my iced-coffee on oat milk. This morning I was warmly welcomed by a tradie complementing one of SELFISH's creations, asking about my pregnancy and speaking of his family of three (soon to be 4, so many beautiful bubba's being born. COVID or divine timing?!) What surprised me is this proud loving papa, a stranger... took the time to give another praise. To say well done. Felt more like "keep going, you've got this". Although my day was anything but rainbows and unicorns, I'm grateful for this mornings events.

I know, I know, now a days “grateful” and “gratitude” is thrown around like confetti but seriously it was a moment. One to be stored for a day of doubt.

Since then I’ve been reading up on the practice of gratitude. They say it increases happiness by 25% - how true this is?! who knows. Being a firm believer in everything happens for a reason. I think such practices could help lead you through tricky times. Do I journal? No. Do I think maybe I should, yes. Have no real issues on where to start with journaling, it’s more… starting!

Keeping this one short and sweet - mumma needs a relaxing  shower a Sweet Dreams shower streamer. Before I unwind would love to know do you practice journaling? Or do you bank those notable events in your mind?

Love

Rebecca Xx
