Is success not so without the affirmation of others? Is our own opinion second class?

It’s funny, how we feel we need permission off another. How we feel we need confirmation we’re headed in the right direction. Is success not so without the affirmation of others? Is our own opinion second class?

I for one have gone down this rabbit role (and more times than I’d like to admit). Striving to be better because the overwhelming feeling of “good enough” takes hold. Then indecisive appears and the “I’ll have what she’s having” occurs because it looks like a f**king good time…. Plus it’s easy and, my brain is already full from being unsure. Seriously?! Doing it now!!

I googled, why do we seek permission from others?

Here’s first thing that came up;

• we think we can’t handle being rejected or dislike

I read it twice, It hit home….

It’s true I’ve sort the approval from Self Care Society, worried that I haven’t and am not to your standard. That I could be doing better. Although when launching SELFISH&Co Sydney the message of self-care was true to me, the branding and website wasn’t. As of the 1st of January the website will be on a little hiatus and  relaunching on the 14th of February, fresh and real. With new self-care packs, merch, and a new line of products.

2021 hasn’t been without lows of COVID-19 to the highs and lows of seeing small business adapt and blossom. Before Santa makes his way down our chimneys or into our windows wanted to THANK YOU. To all of you beautiful souls that have support this mama's small biz, let me in your lives, and supported our little family through our pregnancy, from the bottom of my heart thank you. It’s been an absolute honour.
